We are compelled to draw attention to two deeply concerning videos that have recently surfaced on various social media platforms. In these videos, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, commonly referred to as Chairman Wontumi, and Mr. Kwame Baffoe, known as Abronye, both serving as Regional Chairmen for the Ashanti and Bono Regions respectively, are heard making serious allegations of manipulation within the electoral register and processes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Their claims suggest that there is an intentional effort to favor a specific candidate in anticipation of the January 2026 Presidential Primaries.

The statements made by these individuals amount to blatant misconduct, manifesting as a significant infringement of the Party’s constitution, particularly Article 4 (7). Such revelations not only tarnish the esteemed reputation of the NPP as a democratic entity but also pose a direct threat to the credibility, integrity, and unity that we seek to uphold during the forthcoming presidential primaries.

It is imperative to recognize that Mr. Boasiako and Mr. Baffoe do not hold positions as ordinary party members. They are prominent figures within both the National Executive Committee and the National Council—two of the most influential decision-making bodies in the Party, as specified in Article 10 (3) and (4) of the NPP Constitution. The weight of their words cannot be underestimated; hence, it is wholly insufficient for the party leadership to merely distance itself from their reckless and incendiary comments. Instead, these statements must be met with both robust condemnation and appropriate sanctions.

In light of this troubling situation, we advocate for the immediate summoning of both Regional Chairmen to face the relevant disciplinary bodies within the National Executive Committee and the National Council. Swift and decisive action is essential to convey a powerful message that no individual, irrespective of their rank or position within the Party, is exempt from adherence to our established rules and regulations.

Failure to address this issue with the urgency it demands will only exacerbate prevailing perceptions of bias and lend credence to the alarming narrative that there is indeed a calculated scheme to manipulate the electoral process in favor of a predetermined candidate. The sanctity of our primaries and the unity of our Party must not be left vulnerable to the ramifications of undisciplined behavior and reckless statements.

In conclusion, we reaffirm to all members and supporters of the NPP that Team Ken remains unwavering in its dedication to ensuring a transparent, free, and fair electoral process. We have implemented a comprehensive and rigorous anti-rigging framework designed to uphold the integrity and legitimacy of the upcoming primaries. We urge all party members to remain vigilant and committed to safeguarding the core values that define our beloved Party.
