Robber Sentenced To 20 Years Imprisonment
The Upper West Regional Police Command has successfully secured a conviction against Adams Hamidu, also known as Gyida, who is 19 years old. He has been sentenced to 20 years in prison with hard labor for robbery. The Wa Circuit Court delivered the verdict on June 5, 2025.
In February 2025, Gyida and another masked individual robbed a victim of a blue Honda motorbike worth GHC 20,000, a Tecno mobile phone valued at GHC 1,300, and cash amounting to GHC 10,800.
Gyida was apprehended on June 1, 2025, in Domowa, in the Wa-West District, thanks to intelligence-led operations.
